Q: Where is the hood sensor located?

asked by on November 12, 2016

automatic remote key is not starting car suggested hood not closed or sensor gone bad, don't know location of sensor or what it looks like Any suggestions please?

My car has 8000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Depending on your specific model of Chevrolet, your hood latch and sensor should be all one assembly. However, it is possible to separate them taking the hood sensor out and keeping the hood latch itself operational. I would recommend having an expert from YourMechanic come to your location to diagnose your hood latch sensor.
