Where are the vehicle identification numbers (VIN) located?

The vehicle identification number (VIN) is an important piece of information used on a wide range of documentation. It’s 17 digits long, and it is located in several places on your car. You’ll find it here:

  1. On the dashboard, directly in front of the steering wheel, behind the windshield.

  2. On the door panel placard (certification label) on the driver side door.

  3. On the engine (it’s stamped into the engine itself).

The statements expressed above are only for informational purposes and should be independently verified. Please see our terms of service for more details
