Q: Dashboard lights

asked by on February 19, 2017

When the car (2016 Honda HRV) was 6 months old my check charging system light came on. I took it back to the dealer and they told me a sensor was bad. They ordered a new one and told me it was safe to drive. Well, the next day the car died in the middle of the highway. I had it towed to the dealer. They said they made a mistake in telling me it was safe to drive, but that it was just the sensor and they replaced it. Now, for 3 months I've had no problems. Today when I started the car all the warning lights came on for a second, which is normal, but the mileage, gas tank, all the normal lights were not on and after about 20 seconds they all came on and everything seemed fine. I'm worried that I'm going to have another problem. What do you think?

My car has 16000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Blower motor made strange noise and then stopped working
I believe it is certainly an issue they should have fixed if a recall was indeed issued (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-to-check-if-your-car-has-recalls) for this exact issue. 40k miles can easily be driven in as little as two years, so there is no reason that...

All lights are on; on the dashboard and the battery continues to die.
Hello. The first thing to consider is that amount of work that has already gone into the vehicle. With the lowering of the battery's power so quickly after starting, I have a strong prediction that the alternator/charging system is not...
