Oil Filter Housing Gasket Replacement $292.08 - $437.68 Get a Quote

I would not recommend using any sealer other than Ultra Grey by Permatex. When you remove the housing if you have a paper type gasket use the sealer, but if the gasket is a rubber o-ring then do not use any sealer except a small amount to hold the o-ring in place. Make sure you get both surfaces very clean and then dry them with brake cleaner before assembly. If you want the help of a professional, a certified mobile mechanic from YourMechanic can come to your home or office to replace your oil filter gasket.

Generally speaking, there are two separate circuits inside of a relay (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/automatic-shutdown-relay-replacement). One circuit is, what I'll refer to for the sake of this writing, as the "supply" side, and the other is the "signal" side. The supply side has...

Wow, I almost bought one of these new back in 1986. It is possible that due to age, any number of sensors can be bad, even without a Check Engine Light being set. The best way to determine that is...
Popping out of gear - could it be anything easier than a syncro ?
Hi there - it is possible that your "popping out of gear" (https://www.yourmechanic.com/question/pops-out-of-3rd-gear-unless-i-hold-it-there-by-alex-o) problem is worn shifter linkage, bad transmission or shifter mount, or worn shift detents in the shift selector shafts. These are (relatively) easily checked without dropping the...

Do i have to use synthetic oil in my bmw
The manufacturer recommends 5w40 or 5w30 full synthetic oil only for your car's engine. I would recommend only using full synthetic oils.
