What does the Speed Control Light mean in the dash?

Your car is equipped with a speed control system (what other automakers refer to as cruise control). The Speed Control Light looks like a little picture of a speedometer with an arrow on it. If the light comes on in the dash, it means that the speed/cruise control system is active. If the light is off, then the system is off.
