On my 2009 VW Passat the Check Engine Light diagnostic was performed yesterday the trouble code P2015. I would like an estimate on the repair Mechanic's Assistant: Does the light stay on, or does it blink? I believe on, you are meaning the CELD when scanned Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Passat yourself? What have you tried so far? I have not done anything but put hook up code reader Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you? When I was driving had high rpm so I parked my car and had my Mom hook up her code reader

Hello, my name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I will be helping you with your question today. I've been working on VWs for over 30 years now, so I should be able to help you through this. Please understand that some of my suggestions may require special diagnostic tools and equipment that many home mechanics may not have, but are often required. **Also, the site automatically prompts for a phone call. It's very rare that I'm available by phone, so let's hold off on that for now. If needed after we exchange some information, I will do my best to take the time for the call.** So that is a very common fault seen on 2009-2013 2.0T VWs and Audis. It's related to a stuck or broken intake manifold runner controller flap, and will require replacing the manifold assembly. Shop labor will be approximately 4 hours (multiplied by the shop rate, so roughly $400-$500) Manifold assembly is $208 Injector seal kits are $34 each x 4 So the job pre-tax can run $800-$900 Please let me know if I can offer any further information

I would like to schedule the repairs please

You will have to do that directly with your local VW shop or dealer. This is just a service to help diagnose and if needed, give rough estimates on repairs. I can certainly give you a good locator to find a shop in your area: [https://www.vcarshops.com/](https://www.vcarshops.com/)

Dirty throttle body code

Hello. There are very few diagnostic trouble codes that point out dirty components, maybe there was a motor control fault or a malfunction with the throttle body valve position sensor. The throttle body specifically is machined within tight limits and...

cracked engine block

I do not think it is a cracked engine block, but a blown out freeze plug in the block or heads. Have a pressure test done on the cooling system to see where the leak is in the cooling system....

Brakes locking up

You need to recheck the brake light switch installation. If it is adjusted incorrectly it could partly hold the brakes engaged and would lock up the brakes or keep them partly engaged. The light switch should not be bottomed out...

Slow/no acceleration...High RPMs...No engine light

I do see that there are a couple of different Technical Service Bulletin's (TSB's) that may be associated with your 2007 Dodge Charger. I would first contact the dealership to verify whether or not the issue would be covered. This...

Harsh ride over potholes

Hi there: In general, OEM parts are designed to maximize comfort and tend to wear out sooner than they really should. This is why OEM tires wear out so quickly. Aftermarket parts (in general) are designed to maximize performance or...

Check engine light

Hello. P0171 is the trouble code for a lean condition at bank 1. This can be caused by a wide variety of issues, primarily issues with the engine management or fuel systems, and therefore can sometimes be difficult to diagnose....

Not sure my car have ABS or not 2011 Nissan Sunny

Hello - yes, your Nissan Sunny has Anti-lock Brakes System. It would appear that yours is inoperative, and the ABS light in the dash cluster has burned out, or one or more fuses have blown. Check for blown fuses first....

Hello, I have a 2006 mazdaspeed 6 with 100,000 miles and a "blown third piston" is it worth fixing?

It's too bad that it failed this early in the game, but I don't think there's any future in fixing it. Just remember that an engine is only one of many very expensive parts on a car and once you've...

Second opinion] [Brake](/topics-brake-ford/) pads was hitting the rotors last week. I replaced the rail clips and thought the problem was fixed, but It's touching the rotors again slowing the vehicle down. Any ideas?
