Q: Truck stalling if I drive slow or turn.

asked by on

Truck starts, but turns off when driving slow or stopped.

It sounds like you may be having a problem with your idle air control valve. This valve regulates the speed of the engine at idle. If it is malfunctioning or stuck it is possible that the vehicle could stall any time you are not pushing the accelerator down. I would ask for help from a certified mechanic, such as one from YourMechanic, to diagnose your problem and find the root cause.
