If the oil pressure warning light is on, be sure not to run the engine. The oil pressure is too low for safe engine operation although there is a small possibility that the warning light circuit is simply malfunctioning (not likely though, given what you have described). As for why the oil level became low, the possibilities: are an inadequate amount of oil was added when the oil was changed; there is an internal or external oil leak; or you drove a lot more miles than you thought and the car consumed some of the oil. Inasmuch as the check engine light is now on, what I would recommend is that you request a check engine light diagnostic. The responding certified mechanic will download the trouble codes from the vehicle computer and also evaluate the noise, oil pressure and oil consumption issue. Once the mechanic has an understanding of what is going on with your car, the mechanic will let you know exactly what repairs are required. If you have further questions or concerns, do not hesitate to re-contact YourMechanic because we want you to make the most of your repair dollars and help you to get the best possible results.

AC system malfunction
Hello. It is possible that there may be a clog in the A/C condenser (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/ac-condenser-replacement) or the A/C pressure switch (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/ac-pressure-switch-replacement). I replaced 2 spark plugs in cylinder 5 to fix a misfire.
Leaking valve covers on this engine allow oil down into the spark plug recesses as you note. Besides shorting the plug, the oil degrades the boot portion of the coil which plugs onto the spark plug, creating other opportunities for...
slightly harder to turn right. Easier to turn left. Steering wheel doesn't always return to the center when turned left.
Hi there. Assuming there is no accident damage, the power steering rack and pinion is most likely at fault. Directional power steering issues are not usually created by a power steering pump issue (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/power-steering-pump-replacement). The newer model year and low...
Im not sure if its the tie rods that are bad or if its the cv axle... it doesnt click or anything
Typically, if you feel "slack" in the steering, the rack and pinion (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/steering-rack-gearbox-replacement) (or other "steering gear") unit is worn but the tie rod ends (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/tie-rod-end-replacement) (inner and/or outer) could be implicated as well. Vibration or shuddering on application of...
Could this be the TCM causing the problem?
Yes, no start in the scenario you are describing is possible especially if Code U1000 has set, along with other codes such as P0717, but there are multiple code scenarios or combinations. One quick strategy is to pull and visually...
