What about the belts they put on? My car didn’t start vibrating until they put on the belts but they could have tinkered around with other stuff who knows. All o know is that my car wasn’t like that before. What would a bad harmonic balancer do?

yes it sounds like the new belts put more tension on the ballancer and caused it to deflect more.

I took my car in because it was making a rattling noise under my hood and a mechanic replaced 2 tension belts and said that my car is 50% better so he wasn’t going to charge me. Now my car is way worse then before. My seat, steering wheel, car door and dash board vibrate. Even my stereo doesn’t sound right. Then a week later my steering wheel started making like squeaking sounds. My car has new noises that it didn’t have before. I can’t drive on the freeway now because of the vibrating. I don’t know what to do. None of theses things were there before. They said I could come back and they will check to see if the belts are on correctly. Afraid to take it back don’t know if I should?
