I honestly didn't notice the headlights. It may take me 10-15 minutes to check it because I am in an apartment building. Is there an option?I mean is it ok if I go check?

You can take a video or picture. What you are looking for is green corrosion on the battery terminals or are they clean. Also grab the terminal and give it a little wiggle and see if it is loose.

Okay that looks good. Okay next the battery needs to be checked for voltage and tested. Do you have access to a voltage meter?

I was able to boost the car. It's running now. I am leaving it running for another 15 minutes to charge the batteryThe headlights work. I think it didn't turn it on earlier.Could it be the generator issue?What should I do next?

Great! I would take it somewhere and have the battery tested, and get the codes pulled to see why the light is on. Autozone can do that for you for free.

Just out of curiosity, if the car doesn't start in an hour, would it be the battery, engine, or eliminator issue?

If it doesn't start back up it could be a possible bad [alternator](/topics-alternator-toyota/) or battery. Since you have it running I would let it run for about 30 minutes if you can.

I think the car was on for about 30 minutes. I'll go check soon. I changed the alternator just before this past Christmas, so it's new. The battery was also from last year.changed the alternator at my mechanic's.

Okay, I would still get both of them checked just to verify. I have seen things like that go bad shortly after being changed. Also get the codes pulled to see why the light is on.
