Good Afternoon, my name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* ill be helping you, so sorry to hear about the issues here on the Corolla. You are correct you have electronic power steering. I would recommend we start with checking both the 60 amp EPS motor fuse in the fuse box under the dash. As well as the 10 amp ECU IG1 fuse in the fuse box under the left side of the dash. If both check out you will most likely be dealing with a bad motor/torque sensor assembly since that is what usually fails. You will find this assembly located on the steering column and it will not be visible from underneath the car
