The power steering is not working.
Once the power steering fluid level drops beneath a certain point, the pump doesn’t have enough fluid to supply a good power assist for the steering system. The pumps main seal behind the pulley could be leaking. Also the pressure line, return line, or even the rack and pinions could be leaking fluid. An inspection to find a source of this leak should be carried out by a qualified technician to pinpoint the root of your concern, whether it be a burned out power steering pump or a leaking line.
