Q: Passlock reset on 2002 Chevrolet Impala

asked by on September 20, 2017

I know the steps to reset it through the radio, but what if my radio does not work? Will I have to go to the dealership because I've heard the radios are built for that specific car so it will not reset unless I go through the dealer

My car has 212000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Unfortunately the dealer is oftentimes the only place that can perform services such as this. This is due to the fact that specific scan tools are required in order to reset certain systems.
