The most common thing to cause the engine to shut off while driving would be the CAM sensor. When your cam sensor starts to loose it's signal, it can cause the engine to shut off. When it does it can cause the Cam Sensor code and a engine signal code in the ABS system which can cause the VDC light. But the truck will need to be scanned to verify
