Before I start on the vehicle problem can I have your first name ? Thank you. About your car problem , the whooping sound is it from the front or rear ? Usually that sound is from a bad wheel bearing but I would lie the front of the vehicle and spin the wheels by hand to see if the tires are perfect round ,do the front and rear. The transmission ,if you step on the gas and the vehicle does not pick up speed ,I would make sure the transmission fluid level is full as the first step and then would have it scanned for trouble codes to see what pops up , and then go from there. if it accelerates on its own , you need to have it scanned for trouble codes to see any throttle body code comes up , it sounds like you may have to replace the throttle body. Yes , you can have yours rebuilt or you can get a rebuilt one from manufacturer ,which is double the cost.
