Emergency brake pedal stuck on the up position

My car has 190120 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Many common faults can cause your 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe’s parking brake to get stuck in the "up" position. If the parking break will not apply, the brake cable could have failed, the parking brake lever could be faulty, or there can be a parking brake assembly failure.

It is recommended that you get a qualified technician, such as one from YourMechanic, to inspect your parking brake and make any repairs required to correct the position of the emergency brake.
