asked by on December 03, 2016

I started my car and it was fine went down the road and the check engine light can on

My car has 160000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

A vehicle that has a problem with the engine or power train can turn on the check engine light and set a code in the computer. The list of possible codes and problems are in the hundreds. You will need to have a mechanic like one from YourMechanic come and scan the computer and check why the light is on in your vehicle. With the code then a proper diagnosis can be done.
