Code P1754
When you get this code on your vehicle it can be the first sign of an internal transmission failure. I would check the transmission fluid first. If it is really dark or dirty then there is an internal failure. If...
Gas not getting to the throttle body
The problem could be a bad fuel pump, but I would start with checking the Inertia Cut Off Switch. This switch is in place to stop fuel delivery in the event of a collision, although they sometimes trip when you...
does driving a car at 4000RPM with a limit of 8000 rpm cause harm, after the car is at operating tempurature?
It should not harm your engine to run it at 4000 rpm. With this high of miles, however, I would not run it for an extended time at these speeds. Especially since it's an older engine.
It will crank but will not turn on. Leaving a smell of gas
Hello, thank you for writing in. The vehicle may be having spark issues. If the spark is not strong enough to ignite all of the fuel, or does not ignite the fuel at all, the spark plugs may not be...
Car died while driving so I replaced the alternator and battery and car won't attempt to turn over. What else could it be?
The initial failure was likely caused by a sudden fuel system (e.g., failed fuel pump) or electrical (including ignition) faiure. Prior to performing diagnostics be sure you have a fully charged battery that passes a load test (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/battery-is-dead-inspection). Then, confirm...

Shifting
If you have no reverse gear, it's probably pointless to diagnose the other issues. A known, common issue in this transmission (you probably have the Ford 5R110) is breakage of a snap ring on the Low/Reverse one way clutch. That...
Loud clunking noise from front driver side when braking hard or hitting a pot hole.
You may have a worn out strut on the drivers side or the strut upper bushing is worn out. I suggest having the struts checked. Also the front brake pads may be moving inside the brake caliper. Have the complete...
I have a 2016 Kia Optima and a gold/orange triangle with an exclamation mark in the center keeps coming up and staying lit on my d
The orange warning triangle typically has to do with a traction and/or stability control system fault (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/traction-control-light-is-on-inspection). This warning is typically triggered by a fault in one of those systems. Anything from a wheel speed sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/abs-speed-sensor-replacement) to a brake...
