my mechanic said i might need a new ECU, so my question is... would i have to reprogram the new ecu because of the key immobilizer in that model/year or would the ECU detect the key immobilizer just fine (no need for programming)? thank you
My car has 83000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
The vehicle will not start if it is not programmed to work with your vehicle key immobilizer. You will need to have the ECU programmed for it to work.
