Q: Mazda 6 reliability

asked by on October 16, 2016

Is the 2014 mazda 6 a reliable car? Does it have any history of major break downs? Would you recommended this car? Will this car be more expensive to repair because it is foreign?
My car has an automatic transmission.

While we are not permitted to endorse certain makes and models of vehicles, we can tell you there are several other websites that not only have customer reviews, but also list the common problems. Often you can find great information on forum websites that allow current owners to discuss the pros and cons. We also recommend that regardless of which type of vehicle you are looking at, that you do have a pre-purchase inspection done! This will cover a ton of components by visually and audibly measuring and observing them from the outside of the vehicle. Technicians also can give you advice on what to pay attention to, and what you can do to ease the car buying process.

Should I be concerned about my engine when taking frequent short trips?
The problem would be several (10+) short trips per day. The issue is that your vehicle never really has a chance to warm up for the fuel control system to go into "closed loop" status. This is when all systems...
Car is misfiring, losign power and sputtering

The Check Gauge Light (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/warning-light-is-on-inspection) comes on to prompt you to look at one of the gauges that is high, such as the coolant gauge for the engine overheating. If the A/C has stopped cooling, then you may have a...
I have a loud clunk in my front suspension on my 2005 nissan titan. I've read that I may need a new sway bar and ball joints.
Hi there. When adding a lift kit to any vehicle its important to replace the ball joints so they are not damaged when the standard lift is removed. Plus, either the sway bar could be replaced or extensions could be...
My engine over heated while I was driving and won't crank up does this mean the engine has seized or locked up on me? 2006 Dodge Durango
Hi - if the engine spins over when you hit the starter, but just won't start - then no, it likely has not seized up. Check the oil level to be sure you did not suffer major oil loss -...
2011 Fusion power steering assist fault and service advancetrac at same time. restarted w/ no reset. drove 50mi w/ no steering wtf
Hello. The issue may not be incredibly complex or major. With newer vehicles being equipped with more complex diagnostic systems, it is not uncommon for one issue being related to two separate warning lights. The first step is to have...
