No problem Summer. just going to pull up your vehicle and then get back to you asap No inertia switch or oil pressure switch off switch on this. If you are not getting power to the fuel pump this could be any of many issue? Can you get hooked up to a diagnostic scan tool or a code reader and check for engine malfunction codes? Is the starter working and cranking over the engine? Greg

65279;I installed a new starter. Then I installed a new fuel pump. I don’t have a professional way to backprobe, I used a lightbulb and socket and there was nothing. I’m going to borrow a diagnostic reader from the auto store. I was given this car about a month ago. It has 188k on it and it has never had any maintenance. The oil was bone dry. And this car has spent 20 years here in Hawaii where there is lots of sand. I’m guessing I should replace all the filters?

Check for codes first as it could just be a sensor the alarm system the chip transponder key etc lot of possible issues.

Ok thank you
Automotive Expert
Keep me posted with the codes Greg

65279;Hi thanks. I haven’t been able to get the tester or diagnostic thing yet but i will. Is the wiring universal? I have a 2002 Astro van that’s broke down. Could I use those wires?

I live in CA. Can I tint the windows in my car?
Window tint laws (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-much-can-i-tint-my-windows-legally) vary from state to state. In California, there is no limit for how dark you can tint your rear side windows or the larger back window as long as you have vision as a driver. However,...
Blown head gasket with blue b evil in it now lost power on 2005 Chevy Equinox

Are stabilizers the same as tie rods? I think no??
Hello. The short answer is no. Tie rods (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/tie-rod-end-replacement) are part of your steering system. They are integral to your cars ability to drive straight and turn. I guess in some sense they contribute to the stability of your car,...
Car wont start and electronics acting up
As long as no water has gotten into the car, sight unseen I would suggest checking for loose connections. Positive and negative battery cables (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/battery-cable-replacement), not just at the battery. Check the other ends - where the positive cable connects...
Car will not start. Just clicks

If the engine has good compression, oil pressure is good, there are no huge leaks, no unusual noises and the rest of the vehicle is still serviceable (tires, brakes, suspension), it's a fantastic deal. However, if the engine needs to...
