Q: Is the cam sensor replacement the camshaft sensor?

asked by on November 14, 2017

I have had some some work done on my car and the mechanic (Charles) said I may need a cam sensor replacement if the check engine light cam on again. I was just wanted to know if that is the same as the camshaft sensor?

It may be due to the camshaft sensor but would not know unless another test is done to get the failure codes like a P0340 or P0344. The light can come on for over 100 different codes and is only a warning to get it checked and does not tell why it came on unless the computer is scanned.

Why does my check engine light still come on in my 2014 Hyundai Accent even after changing the fuel cap

Hello. The gas cap will not repair the issue unless that is the problem. Depending on what code is coming up will determine what is needed. I would start by scanning the computer for codes first to see what may...

Clicking sound while driving after having transmission rebuilt twice on a 2004 Chevy Trail Blazer

Unfortunately for you, you've had your transmission rebuilt twice at the same shop. So, obviously, they didn't do a good job the first time and I'd be kind of leery about it the second time. If I were you,...
