Q: in my 1994F150, The check engine light flashes off when under a load and goes on when not, What's the problem?
The check engine light only comes on,when the truck is not under a load in the low gears but comes on when it shifts into 3rd or fourth. it seems that's when it codes. I have cleaned out the egr valve, and changed the speed sensor on the top of the dif. I have chg spark plugs, gaped them and plug wires. The two sensors have been changed on the exhaust pipe, and I also have new gas caps on both fill spots. Is it true that there are two sensors on the trans. that help with shifting? It's shifting hard from 1st to 2nd I noticed. The oil has been chg every 3,000 miles, but I have not changed the trans. fluid or filter. Why is the check engine comming on like that?
