Q: I installed a new battery but the car wont start and i have intermittent power.

asked by on January 22, 2018

Car has been sitting for 5 months and wouldnt start when i came back. I replaced the battery and when i drove over a speed bump the lights flickered for a second before everything went back to normal. I parked and turned off the car and checked to make sure the battery hadnt shifted. I put the plastic piece into place that hold the battery but now i get intermittent power to my car and it wont start.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Does a 1994 Cadillac Deville have a crankshaft sensor or do I need to replace the whole distributor?
Hi there. The ignition system for the 4.9L in your vehicle, should be HEI (high energy ignition) and does not have a CKP (crankshaft position sensor). The pick-up coil is inside the distributor and most likely is not the cause...

Why do I continue to have a burning oil and fuel smell in my 2009 Dodge Charger
Hello. This can be caused by a number of things. If you continue to have leaks in the engine then there may be too much pressure built up in the engine. This is usually caused by excessive blow by due...
