If you have a battery light on then it is most likely the alternator not charging the battery. The brake light may be on since the ABS will not work if the battery voltage drops below 12 volts. You should have the battery and charging system checked before the vehicle stalls and leaves you stranded on the road somewhere. If you need help in doing so, consider YourMechanic, as one of our mobile technicians can come to you to diagnose your warning lights and make the necessary repairs to your vehicle.

After fixing my radiator, radiator hose, thermostat, and idle control valve my car continues to idle very high and run hot. Help??
Hello, high idle (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/engine-idle-speed-is-high-inspection) can be represented by many conditions. A heater core would not cause this unless you have a coolant leak and the core was leaking. There are tests that can be performed to test a water pump...

Hi there - the valve body (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/does-an-automatic-transmission-have-a-clutch) on this transmission is prone to wear, especially for control pressure hydraulic circuits on high-mileage units like yours. If you did not replace the valve body with a rebuilt unit, and the control...
My car starts i put it in reverse but when i put it in to drive it has trouble moving

Hello. Do you recommend aftermarket or OEM for the front CV shaft assembly?
Hi there. The aftermarket parts and OEM parts are certified to be operated on the vehicle. You can operate your vehicle with aftermarket parts as long as the part is the same design. I recommend using the OEM specified part...
My car ran fine. It does use up a lot of oil but because of oil piston rings( i beleive thats term?) and i will replace this.
It sounds like you may have some won piston rings that may be creating enough of a compression leak to cause the motor to no longer run efficiently. As you may already know, the compression rings help to create a...
