I have a problem in my 2004 Peugeot gear

My car has 100000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hi there. With the limited information about your gear box (transmission), I suggest starting with checking the fluid level and color. Make sure that the fluid is full and the color is red and not dark red or black. Then check to see what the transmission. If the transmission is not going into gear or if it will not shift, then either the transmission position sensor is damaged or the shifter cable is broken. If the transmission goes into gear and loads up the engine but the vehicle does not go anywhere, either the brakes are engaged making the vehicle not move or the transmission is slipping and needs checked out. I recommend seeking out a professional, such as one from Your Mechanic, to help you with your transmission.
