Q: I am having a problem fixing my left rear wheel bearing and hub assembly

asked by on September 12, 2016

I do not have much money, so I decided to fix my left rear wheel bearing. After a tough struggle, I got the rotor, wheel hub assembly, and inner wheel bearing off the car. However, they came off in 1 whole piece!? I can not for the life of me, get the rotor , the guard for the rotor , the hub assembly, and inner wheel bearing apart. I am at my wits end . I do not want to have it towed, or buy ALL the parts. How do I get them apart without an impact driver

I bent my rear sway bar pretty bad. Had it replaced, but the wheel is still a little bent. What else can be the problem?
Hi there. The rear wheel being out of alignment, could be the result of a bent strut assembly (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/strut-assembly-replacement), a bent trailing/control arm (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/control-arm-assembly-replacement), a bent bearing knuckle and/or bent rear subframe. Replacing components without diagnosis can be expensive and...

Hi there - your Viper uses the Tremec TR-6060 transmission, which handles the torque from the Vipers engine reliably, but is a bit balky in the shifting department. Using synthetic transmission fluid will help, especially in colder climates, and moving...

Popping/clunking sound from right passenger side front. Front suspension was inspected over the weekend
Hi there. In most cases, when you have a problem like this, it's caused by a loose or damaged strut, strut mount, stabilizer bar bushings or CV joints being worn out. The stabilizer bar bushing specifically is usually the part...
