Hello Tom. Nice to hear from you today! I'm sorry to hear you are having this problem. I know this can be frustrating.
Have you tried locking and unlocking the doors with the remote or key to see if the engine starts and runs then at all and the alarm stops honking?

Unfortunately, I am unable to place a call on this here myself. Others here will see you have requested a call and may still call on this. I can, however, continue here.

The first thing I recommend performing is to replace the faulty batteries in the remote. Then once this has been done try locking and unlocking the doors with the remote to see if that disables the alarm and allows the engine to start and function properly.
If the remote still does not allow remote locking and unlocking then this can indicate that the remote itself is faulty and has to be replaced. It can fail internally causing this issue to where you would be unable to disable or reset the alarm system to allow the engine to start and run again.
The remote has to be in working order in order to cycle the locks with it to reset this issue.
If you need a replacement remote usually a local locksmith can come to you and program a replacement remote they can sell you to resolve this issue for around $200 in most cases.
