Q: high voltage to govern sensor is reading too high

asked by on

high voltage to govern sensor is reading too high. What causes this?

My car has 145000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hello. The voltage to the governor sensor is provided and controlled by the computer. If there is an issue with the voltage then the issue is likely computer or wiring related. It may be possible that some wiring has been damaged, or that the computer needs to be replaced or ref lashed. If you would like, a certified technician can come to your home or office to inspect your vehicles wiring and make necessary repairs.
