Q: Whay would my 2012 VW squeak when i put it in 1st gear

as above

My car has 33000 miles.
My car has a manual transmission.

Hi there. Most of the time if this only occurs in first gear it is due to movement in the transmission. I would usually start by checking the engine and transmission mounts. If they are worn then that may be the issue. If those are fine then the issue may be in one of the cv axle joints. I would then check those for excessive play and also check the suspension for any worn out bushings. If all of those are fine then it is possible that there is a problem within the transmission, which is not common on this vehicle.
