Q: got spark, got gas from injectors, cranks but won't start

asked by on February 15, 2018

I have spark and gas and the injectors are pulsing. Cranks but won't start or even try to start. Van shut off driving on the road. RPM gauge doesn't move when I'm trying to start it.

My car has 178000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

You will need to check to see if there is spark getting to the spark plugs at end of wires. You may need a cap and rotor. If there is spark at plugs and have fuel pressure and injector pulse then only thing left is if engine has compression or not due to jumped timing.

There is a vibration in the front driver's side of the truck at 38-45 mph
Good diagnostic work! You've narrowed it to a specific speed range, not torque sensitive, and to a specific corner of the vehicle. I suspect an "out-of-round" tire that happens to be sensitive at 38-45 mph as you note. Beyond that,...

What's makes the temperature hand goes up then down?
If you are referring to the engine coolant temperature gauge on the instrument panel, unless the gauge is misreporting the temperature (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/temperature-gauge-is-maxed-out-inspection), a likely cause of too low of an engine temperature is a cooling system thermostat (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/thermostat-replacement) that is...

Hello - usually power to the ignition switch (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-ignition-switch), engine swap or not, comes through the fuse block. So, first thing to check is the appropriate fuse for the ignition from the Jeep Owners Manual. With the engine swap, unless...
