Is there any check [engine](/topics-engine-gmc/) or security light remaining on past bulb check, about 10 seconds? Does the starter crank over the engine fast enough to start? Does the fuel pump prime and run for 2 seconds after the key is first turned to run, before you turn the key to start? Check for a spark. Check for any engine trouble codes.
