If you are in gear and the vehicle won't move, this usually means you will need to have a new clutch installed. Especially if you were driving along and it just stopped moving. Sorry to say it likely needs to be towed and have the clutch replaced.

I tried to change my gear and it would not go into gear and I stalled in the motorway.I waited about 5 - 10 minutes restarted car and it was fine but it just randomly does this while I am drivingThis started on SaturdayI hope I don’t need a new clutch as that is going to be costly

Ok, this actually sounds more like an issue with the clutch master cylinder. It may have some air in it, this could cause this issue, where it's not actually working the clutch fork, that would keep the disconnect from happening and cause the car to stall.
