It is a 3.7 automatic transmission, right now I don't see any lights on but I took the battery cables off before I put the purge valve sensor. Before I put that on the light was on. My car was cutting off when I gassed up that's why I put a purge canister valve on. That stopped but still having problems

- Recommend double checking for codes using scan tool, list any you see to the message and I'll look up diag/repair information
- Look at long term fuel trims and see if engine computer is having to adjust engine performance due to fuel/engine sensor issue.
- If fuel trims are lean, look for worn [oxygen sensors](/topics-oxygen-sensor-ford/), low fuel pressure, clogged [fuel injectors](/topics-fuel-injector-ford/), or vacuum and [exhaust](/topics-exhaust-ford/) system leaks
- if engine performance is normal in all ranges, look for failing torque converter or internal transmission issue

I went to a part store and they scanned my car, a lot of codes was on the paper I knew oxygen sensors was on there, purge valve, I couldn't remember the rest

- Let's get it re-diagnosed/scanned to help see what's going on
- If seeing oxygen sensor codes setting, look for dirty mass air flow sensor, then vacuum and exhaust system leaks. Check long term fuel trims and see if they are showing over 10% correction values. If seeing heater codes setting for the sensors, would replace them and retest operation.

Sorry for the delay, had to run an errand. Yep, would use a snap on or mac tools type scanner, if dealer level scan tool isn't available and see if any are setting, then watch the fuel trims and other sensor information to help diagnose.
