Q: Exterior door handle not working.

asked by on

The door won't open using the exterior door handle.

Many of the latch parts inside the doors of modern cars are plastic to keep weight and cost down, and these plastic parts get brittle over years and break. Its very common for a small clip to break and disengage one or both sides of the handle, I would suggest having a mechanic from YourMechanic come inspect your door to see what’s going on and make any repairs as necessary.
