Q: Driver's window moves slowly

asked by on

My driver's side window goes up and down very slow and sometimes not all.

It sounds like the window motor is on its way out. When the window switch is pressed, power is sent to a DC motor. The motor is attached to a scissor-type device called the regulator, which lifts the window up and down. A professional mechanic, such as one from YourMechanic, will be able to remove the door panel to diagnose your window issue and make the appropriate repairs.
