Q: Door handle doesn't depress

asked by on

The driver's side door handle doesn't depress, and I can't open door. This happens intermittently.

Hello. If your driver side door handle is not working properly, and does so intermittently, this could be a sign of problems with the linkage or the latch mechanisms. It would be best to have a professional technician, such as one from YourMechanic, remove the door panel and inspect the components inside of the door, in order to determine the exact cause of the problem.
