Q: Damage to car after hitting curb.

asked by on January 08, 2016

I ran over the curb and now, when I turn my wheel to the left, there is a scratching sound. Not sure if I need my alignment adjusted or if I damaged something.

Its likely that something is bent and should be checked on an alignment rack by a certified mechanic. Another likely possibility would be a plastic splash guard that came loose in the incident. Have this problem inspected and diagnosed for you.

If you are getting fuel pressure then you may not be getting spark. This is usually caused by the distributor module and coil. You should check for spark at spark plugs and if not then replace distributor.

Got new lower ball joints. I can't even turn the steering wheel when backing up after the new joints were put on. It is a 2 wheel drive.

This is a common issue when new ball joints are installed and not properly aligned. I would suggest taking the truck to an alignment shop to be sure the alignment is on point. When not properly aligned, this can cause...
