Did it die going down the road or one am you came out and would not spin over?

it died when i put the new battery in but when it first died was when i tried starting it the day after and it turned on but died shortly after

did you get any codes before the battery was replaced? did you have a red battery light on when it was running?

no it was working fine before i just figured it was the battery so i replaced it since nothing was wrong my friend hooked up his code reader and nothing came up but check engine and etc light were both on while we tried to start itwhen i try to crank it keeps cranking when i push the key back it stops when i take the key out

the lights you mention will be on until the engine is fully running. by disconnecting the battery you erases any codes that would assist with this matter. Now you will need a full scanner to check for cam crank anti theft system and so on.

yeah thats what im waiting on but i was just going to buy a etc. im not to sure what else to docause if it wasnt the batter what could it be

well it spins over and does not fire up correct? what engine size?

could be [timing belt](/topics-timing-belt-chrysler/) could be cam crank sensor pcm wire issue anti theft lots of different things that's why a scanner is needed
