More than likley thats just a pressure sensor, you will want to do a manual gauge test to see and check sensor, you also want to scan computer for codes to see if there is a wiring fault of some kind.

Oil Pressure - Minimum - Hot
41 kPa at 1,000 [engine](/topics-engine-chevy/) RPM (6 psig at 1,000 engine RPM)
124 kPa at 2,000 engine RPM (18 psig at 2,000 engine RPM)
