Q: Check engine light came on killed it now it won't start

Okay I was driving down the road my check engine light came on so I killed my 2010 Dodge avenger now the check engine light is still on auto zone hooked it up they said replace the cam and crank sensor now that I have nothing has changed
My car has an automatic transmission.
