The problem might be with a defective Idle Air Control valve. ... If this valve fails to allow air into the engine the engine won't idle. When you step on the accelerator while starting the engine, this opens the throttle plate which allows air into the engine.
If it is there should be codes stored if you have a scan done.

you don't think it's the battery or alternatorI do not have a scanner I was going to go to autozone if it made it there. But I've asked around and some people said it could be the alternator or battery but I wanted to get more input.Hello?Belloc

but last night my gas tank was full and then all of a sudden after driving for a couple minutes the headlights and dashboard lights was going dim and the windshield wipers wouldn't go up to the full speed and it wasn't trying to accelerate, I had to press the mph meter up to the 3 for it to sped up.

It always sputters after refueling it but what happened last night was the first time it did that.I have not drove it since last night.

if you can get to a auto zone they can test the battery and alternator for free. i'd also recommend a fuel filter it may help with that sputter issue at start.

Well a couple months ago I did get that replaced, the fuel filter and it still did that but you helped me a lot because I never heard about the air valve before, thank you.

If you have a auto zone a duralast is they way to go, new or reman either way on those quality control is very good.

Thank you so much.I've had this car for almost over a year and been fixing it ever since then cuz it's cheaper to fix it rather than get a brand new car I'm only 21 and only get 500 every 2 weeks for one job and my other job I do doordash but now I can't so it kinda sucks and I'm not getting the stimulus so I really appreciate you helping and being honest I want to be a mechanic in the future so I can give good honest work instead of finessing people cuz a lot of mechanics like to do that but you're very honest and a good man.
