Q: Car shut off at the traffic light - 1994 Jaguar XJS

asked by on

I was driving around the city and stopped at the traffic light when the car shut off completely. The gas tank was full, but the car acted as if there is no fuel at all. I had to get the car towed. What might cause this to happen?

This is most likely a fuel pump fuse or fuel pump relay acting up. Given the age of your Jaguar, electrical power to the pump is quite likely. Have a professional mechanic, like YourMechanic, inspect the stalling issue and proceed with the appropriate repairs.
