Hello. Codes P0174 and P0453 are for the engine management and emissions systems. P0174 is the trouble code for a lean condition on engine bank 2. A lean condition occurs when the vehicle air fuel mixture is lacking in fuel, creating an inefficient mixture that will not only result in reduced power and efficiency, but can even potentially harm the engine if detonation occurs. This likely the reason for your performance issues, and can be caused by many things. A few common causes are a faulty injector, fuel pressure regulator, or oxygen sensor. Code P0453 is the trouble code for a high input from the EVAP system pressure sensor. The EVAP system is an emissions system that collects fumes from the fuel tank, and reroutes them into the engine for consumption. The system uses a sensor to detect pressure, and will set off this code if it detects an excessively high reading. This is usually caused by a faulty sensor, or an issue with the EVAP system’s purge valve. As these sorts of issues can sometimes be difficult to diagnose, I would recommend having a professional technician, such as one from YourMechanic, come to your location to diagnose the exact causes of the engine light, and performance issues.
