Q: Car makes chirping noise on startup

asked by on

My car makes a chirping noise when I start it.

When you hear the noise, it may be a belt noise or a starter noise. The starter’s on these engines have a problem with a gear reduction squeal during the engine’s start up. To fix the issue the starter would need to be replaced. I recommend you have a mechanic like one from YourMechanic check your vehicle out for you to diagnose your vehicle and make any of repairs that are necessary.
