Q: Car is cranking but not starting

asked by on March 15, 2017

My car is cranking but not starting. It was running okay prior to this and started fine. I checked the fuses and all appear fine. The battery has enough power but I connected my other car to rule it out. I can hear the gas pump priming when I turn the ignition on. The fuel rail has no Schrader valve to check pressure but if I disconnect the fuel line at the rail when staring the car it spits out a good amount of gas very quickly. The ignition coil's voltage is within specifications, and the plugs are getting spark. I checked the air filter and air box and those look fine. I'm not sure what else to check and how to go about it. Any assistance you can provide is appreciated.

My car has 122000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

The temperature gauge is almost in the red zone immediately after driving car.
Hello, thanks for writing in. There is definitely something wrong with your cooling system. Has new alternator, new battery when started , motor dies when battery is disconnected...my mechanics are stumped on this

I bought two new tires and rims to put on my car and I want to know if I can make them fit.

My 2017 Dodge Challenger Parkview won't come on the screen.
A common failure for these systems is water intrusion into the camera. If you look closely at the lens and see a droplet of water inside the camera, moisture has made it's way into the unit and may have caused...
With normal driving, upkeep, and storage, how long will new tires last before showing dry rot?
The longevity of your tires depends largely on driving conditions, mileage driven regularly, weather, tire pressure, wheel alignment and the type of tire compound. Three years is an average amount of time depending on the mileage covered in those three...
