Q: Car doesn’t go fast enough in time and makes clank/crank noise

asked by on September 27, 2017

I don’t know if you all can see my older question. Cause this is a continuance of that question. At first my car would barely accelerate and wouldn’t go over 20-30mph. So I found out I had a bad icm. I replaced the icm. Car felt like it was back to normal. But this was me driving in a parking lot. Later when I got on the street , it got to 30 kind of fast. But that’s where it stopped if I let off the gas it would start to go over 30. And the only time it kept going up is when I was barely hitting the gas and letting it go. It felt kinda like a manual shift. For example. I get to 30. Let go of the gas. It would feel like it’s shifting up. And hit the gas lightly and let go to keep it accelerating. But it’s not doing it fast enough. I took a risk and got on the freeway because it was a straight shot. I got it up to 70 and didn’t go faster cause of traffic. Oh I forgot to mention. I found that one of the coils weren’t sparking. 1,4. But half the coil did work. Replaced it
