The caliper is seized. Trying to get the caliper to go in so I can put on the brake pad Mechanic's Assistant: Okay, I'll connect you to the Mechanic to discuss this further with you. Before I do, is there anything else you want him to know? I brought tools already

Hi there! My name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I'll be helping you today. Just a moment while I review your information.

Ok

If the caliper is already seized, the only chance you'll have is loosening the bleeder valve and trying to push the piston in. This will likely let air into the system and you will have to bleed the brakes afterwards. If this doesn't work, you will need to replace the caliper. Usually once they seize they do not come unstuck.

I looked at a video whiWhich told me to pump the brakes and I did and that's when they seized
Automotive Expert
Definitely should not pump the brakes while replacing the brake pads, the video was incorrect in saying that. The brakes should only be pumped after the pads are replaced and you have reinstalled the brake caliper.

All it does is turn. It's up to high for the caliber set to fit and compress it.
Automotive Expert
At this point replacing the caliper is likely the only option. Once it's fully expanded like that there isn't much you can do to fix it, other than removing and rebuilding it.

Thank you
