While changing my brake shoes my drivers side wheel cylinder spring popped out. I cleaned it off and put it back together. When I press my brake pedal it goes to the floor. I pumped it a few times and noticed white smoke coming from the exhaust and water was leaking from it. I know I should have just bled the brakes and replaced the wheel cylinder because it could have gotten contaminated when the spring popped out but from this point is it possible to replace the cylinder and flush out my brake lines or have I caused a bigger problem by being in a hurry and now do I have to replace the master cylinder and power brake booster as well? Thank you.
My car has 164000 miles.
