Q: Belt is slipping and squealing

asked by on

A belt on my car started slipping and squealing at low speeds, or when stopped.

The tension for this belt is adjustable. My guess is that your belt is too loose; having it properly adjusted will take care of your concern. I suggest you have a trained professional, such as one from YourMechanic, inspect your squealing belt, and make any necessary adjustments.
